What does Architectural Support Services mean?

With the advent of CAD (computer aided design) it became easier & more efficient

for one independent architect/designer to produce full architectural designs alone with

little or no assistance thus rise to the silent death of many Big architectural firms. This

also gave birth to the solo lone ranger architect generation where clients pay little or

nothing for architectural design. Most architects/designers became contractors to

source revenue in order to stay afloat with sometimes insufficient or deficient construction

management skills. 

However, while this transformation continued, a different evolution was happening, the quality expected from CAD design increased in the field. A lot of precision and detailing is required today in the field to be able to interpret and transform designs into reality.

The demand for building information in design has risen over the past few years. Hence, the rise

of new generation of Architectural firms that can deliver the best standard precision

and proper cost saving techniques as value to their designs beyond just the usual

3Ds. The truth is that not everyone can afford the investment and skills required to

create such big company platform. This is why Ambiance BIM Solutions Nigeria

introduced the Architectural Support Services platform since 2010. As a platform to

support our Architects, Engineers and contractors clients in Drafting, construction

drawing / working drawings , shop drawings and 3D/presentation designs and

documentation. We assist our clients in saving valuable time while they focus more on

design and client management. We make sure their designs come out detailed with

precision and meet their various deadlines. These services has added value our client’s

value delivery and growth over the years.

We also offer BIM Modelling services for projects, BIM Management services, BIM

implementations for firms that wish to be compliant, corporate software training for

firms and professionals.

For instance we have client A who is a very Architect/designer, he designs his

building in 2D or sketches on paper with dimensions sends his sketches via email

with picture brand showing elements he needs incorporated in his model. After

costing we proceed with modelling the design, communicating conflicts in space

planning/elements combinations etc. Design is reviewed until the final draft is made

we then proceed with his working drawings which are produced, printed and delivered

just in time before the deadline.

Client B is an Architect does his design but needs competitive 3Ds and detailed

elevations/sections for his working drawings.Client C is a contractor that needs to explain to his client how he intends to reconstruct/remodel the swimming pool. 

We also have our in-house Structural Engineer, Mechanical and Electrical design consultants and Quantity surveyors ready to cater to every project efficiently with the best quality.
